CMJ Consulting, Inc. provides advisory CFO consulting services to privately-held small and mid-sized companies.

  • Operational review of efficiency and effectiveness of accounting and finance functions/departments; 
  • Evaluation and development of accounting personnel.  Recruitment of accounting personnel from staff to controller to CFO.  Goal is to place individuals with the appropriate skill levels needed for where the company currently is at in its development, and its near term future.
  • Review of financial statements for monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting closes; Evaluation of supporting detail underlying financials and conformity with GAAP or other accounting basis used by Company. Improve timeliness of financial statements and eliminate surprises
  • Identification of key financial drivers critical for Company success and development of management reports designed to aid key personnel in managing to financial objectives.
  • Assistance with obtaining financing for all types of corporate requirements – term, collateral based operating lines, mezzanine, or hybrid.
  • Coordination with outside CPA firms for non-attest and attest engagements including management of schedule preparation; accounting research, and Company advocate for financial reporting positions
  • Advisory review of company contracts and negotiations, and coordination with legal counsel.
  • Preparation for purchase or sale of company or company segment. Negotiation and support to counsel for due diligence and financial documents supporting purchase and sale agreement. 
  • Preparation of financial projections for internal use, lending and investing opportunities.
  • Forensic accounting services pertaining to all areas of accounting, including fraud investigations, damage calculations, and expert witness services
